NEW CONCORD, Ohio – Senior three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference attack Chad Steinwachs (Buffalo, N.Y., Williamsville North) broke three separate Baldwin Wallace University school records in the Yellow Jackets' 28-7 Ohio Athletic Conference victory over Muskingum University inside McConagha Stadium.

Just three days after he broke the school's single-season assist record against Ohio Northern University, Steinwachs tallied two goals and a school-record 13 assists for a school-record 15 points. The senior previously broke the single-game assists' and points' records earlier in the season with eight dishes and 12 points against Kenyon College. In addition, Steinwachs broke the single-season points' record, which he set last season at 87, as he currently sits at 92 points for the 2019 campaign.

Junior All-OAC midfielder Ben Kubiak (Wooster) scored a career-high six points and recorded a career-high tying seven points. Both senior attack Blake Bower (Lewis Center/Olentangy) and junior attack Drew Braden (Wooster) tallied five points for the Yellow Jackets (11-2, 5-1 OAC) – Bower with three goals and two assists and Braden with four scores and one dish. Junior attack Justin Presutti (Williamsville, N.Y./South) tied career highs with four assists and six points. Freshman midfielder John Schulte (Grosse Pointe, Mich./South) netted a hat trick while freshman midfielder Skylar Bays (Granger, Ind./Marian) dished out a career-high three assists.

In the cage, sophomore goalkeeper Trent Davis (Ottawa Hills) picked up his sixth consecutive win while not allowing a goal in 20:54 of action. Senior Academic All-OAC goalie Nate Karatas (Penfield, N.Y.) made a team-high three saves in the win.

Both freshman midfielder Zachary Westmeyer and senior midfielder Ryan Stacey recorded hat tricks in the loss for Muskingum (5-8, 1-5 OAC). Freshman attack Hazen Powell scored one goal and added one assist for two points.

After winning the opening faceoff, sophomore faceoff specialist Alexander Bishop (Avon Lake) quickly found Steinwachs for the first score just six seconds into the game. Then it was Steinwachs's turn to facilitate the offense as he dished out eight assists in the period, tying BW's single-game record and helping the Yellow Jackets out to an 11-0 lead.

BW spanned its run into the second quarter, adding seven more goals before Muskingum got on the scoreboard with 4:42 left in the half. Steinwachs's first assist of the quarter broke the first record of the game – single game assists – followed by an assist to Kubiak to break the single-season points' record. Meanwhile, his assist to junior midfielder Riley Mahon (Palatine, Ill./William Fremd) for a man-up goal broke the final school record with his 13th point. The Yellow Jackets held a 19-1 lead at halftime after Braden answered the Fighting Muskies' lone goal.

The third quarter was evenly matched with five goals apiece as BW held the advantage early with a 5-1 run. However, Muskingum finished off the third quarter on a 4-0 run of its own for a 24-6 score heading into the final period.

Seven different players contributed to the Yellow Jackets' last four goals while Muskingum closed out the afternoon with a man-up goal with 1:15 remaining for a 28-7 final score.
