Men’s Golf Team Competes at Webber International Invitational

HANES CITY, Fla. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule with a second place finish at Webber International Invitational hosted by the NAIA Webber International (Fla.) University at the Grenelefe Resort.

BW finished second of two teams with 328 points. Webber International won the invitational with a team score of 315.

Senior Scott Schroeder (Aurora) and freshman Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) led the way for the Yellow Jackets. Schroeder shot a round of 76 and Clark posted a score of 82. In addition senior Matt Kershner (Independence) and sophomore Hunter Miller (Frankfort / Adena) each shot rounds of 85 and senior Weston Lucas (Strongsville / Christian Community School) closed out the top-five with a score of 90.

Freshman Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa. / Erie Cathedral Prep), junior Tommy Glenn (Avon), sophomore Brad Blaine (Brooklyn), sophomore Jack Kyle (Bay Village / Bay) and sophomore Adam Morris (Grafton/Midview) each played as individuals. Ladaika recorded a round of 84, Glenn carded a career-best score of 88, Blaine earned a score of 89, Kyle finished the day with a round of 90 and Morris posted a round of 106.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, April 1 when they travel to West Lafayette for the John Carroll Invitational at the River Greens Golf Course.
