Men’s Golf Takes Sixth Place at OAC Fall Invitational

TIFFIN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf finished sixth at the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Invitational hosted by the Heidelberg University at the Mohawk Country Club.

BW finished sixth of eight teams with a final score of 612. Otterbein won the two-day invitational with a score of 590.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior Matt Kershner (Independence), sophomore Hunter Miller (Frankfort / Adena) and freshman Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted). Kershner shot rounds of 76 and 74 for a team-best score of 150, Miller recorded rounds of 79 and 74 for a total of 153 and Clark fired rounds of 76 and 79 for a final score of 155. Rounding out the top-five were seniors Scott Schroeder (Aurora) and Weston Lucas (Strongsville / Christian Community School). Schroeder shot rounds of 77 and 79 for a final score of 156 and Lucas recorded rounds of 82 and 77 for a total of 159.

Playing as individuals, freshman Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa. / Erie Cathedral Prep) shot a career-low tying 78 in round one and an 82 in round two for a final score of 160 and sophomore Jack Kyle (Bay Village / Bay) shot rounds of 90 and 81 for a total of 171.  

The Yellow Jackets wrap-up the fall portion of their schedule on September 25 and 26 when they travel to Alliance where they will play at the Purple Raider Invitational hosted by the University of Mount Union at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.
