PATASKALA, Ohio – Senior All-OAC player Scott Schroeder (Aurora) shot a two-day total of 144 to earn medalist honors by three strokes and the Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished sixth at the two-day Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Invitational hosted by Capital University at the Cumberland Trail Golf Course. 

BW was eighth of eight teams with a two-day total of 631 on the par-72 and 6,805 Cumberland Trail layout.  Otterbein University was the invitational champion with a two-day total of 590.

Schroeder led the Yellow Jackets with rounds of 71 and 73 for his winning two-day total of 144.  His 71 in the first round was two shots off of his career-low round of 69.

In addition, freshman Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) shot rounds of 78 and 80 for a two-day total of 158.  Sophomore Hunter Miller (Frankfort/Adena) carded rounds of 78 and 83 for an invitational total of 161.  Sophomore Brad Blaine (Brooklyn) posted rounds of 83 and 87 for a total of 170.  Senior All-OAC player Weston Lucas (Strongsville/Christian Community School) rounded out the top five with rounds of 91 and 85 for a total of 176. 

Playing as individuals, freshman Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep) had rounds of 83 and 88 for a two-day total of 171.  Sophomore Jack Kyle (Bay Village/Bay) posted rounds of 87 and 89 for a total of 176.  Junior Tommy Glenn (Avon) carded two rounds of 90 an invitational total of 180.

BW is back in action on Friday, April 14 when it travels to Sunbury to compete in the Otterbein University Invitational at the Northstar Golf Course.
