Nicole DeAnna Named Head Cheerleading Coach

BEREA, Ohio- The Baldwin Wallace University cheerleading program has announced Nicole DeAnna '15 as their next head coach. 

DeAnna, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Sustainability, was a four-year participant on the cheer team, serving as team captain during her senior year and was a member of the Delta Zelta Sorority. Since graduating, she has continued being involved with the program in the role as an assistant coach. 

Currently, DeAnna is earning a master's degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology at Cleveland State University. Additionally, she works as a group fitness instructor at T3 Performance in Avon, Ohio and as an entertainment and promotions specialist for the Cleveland Indians on game days.

In addition, she has worked with the Cleveland Cavaliers with its in-game entertainment team and served as a Fan Experience and Special Events Intern for the Cleveland Browns in 2016.

"I am thrilled to be returning to Baldwin Wallace as the head coach of the Cheer team", stated DeAnna. "In my three years as an assistant, I learned what it takes to be the leader of the program and I am very excited to take on this new role. I can't wait to get the season started and I am a Yellow Jacket for life."
