Women’s Golf Team Finishes Fall Season with Fifth Place Finish at OAC Fall Preview

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team closed the fall portion of its schedule with a fifth place finish at the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Preview Invitational hosted by the University of Mount Union at the River Greens Golf Course.

BW finished fifth of six teams with a round of 401 on the par-72 and 5,800-yard River Greens layout.  Mount Union was the invitational champion with a round of 356 followed by Otterbein University just one shot behind with a 357.

Senior Shannon Stamper (Westlake/Rocky River) led the Yellow Jackets with a round of 96.   Senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC player Laura Vidmar (Willoughby/South) fired a round of 98.   Senior Nikki Gannon (North Ridgeville) had a round of 102 and freshman Erinn Maynard (New London) shot a 105.   Rounding out the team scoring was freshman Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.) with a 109.
Playing as an individual, junior Kelsey Johnson (Carmel, Ind./Tudor) had a round of 132.
 

The Yellow Jackets return to action and open the spring portion of their schedule on Wednesday, March 9 when they compete in the Weber (Fla.) University Invitational at the River Greens Golf Course in Avon Park, Florida.
