Women’s Golf Team Finishes Seventh at the 2016 OAC Tourney

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio-- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf finished seventh at the 2016 Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament at the River Greens Golf Club. This officially ends the season for the BW women.

The Yellow Jackets carded 389 strokes on the first day, 377 on the second and 386 on the third and final day for a 54-hole total of 1,152 strokes on the par-72 and 5,900-yard River Greens G.C. layout to finish seventh of eight teams.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC student-athlete Laura Vidmar (Willoughby/ South) who had rounds of 92, 92 and 88 for a 54-hole total of 272 strokes to place 15th individually. She was followed by freshman Madison Trenkamp (Villa Hills, Ky. / Villa Madonna Academy) with rounds of 98, 92 and 97 for 287 to tie for 25th, freshman Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.) with rounds 103, 98 and 95 for 296 to place 30th, senior Academic All-OAC player Nikki Gannon (North Ridgeville) with rounds of 96, 95 and 105 for 297 to place 31st, and junior Kelsey Johnson (Carmel, Ind./ Park Tudor) with rounds of 117, 113 and 107 for 337 to place 36th.
