LILBURN, Ga. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team has been recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as a 2017-18 Academic Top 25 Honor Roll team.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year colleges with the top grade point averages inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. 2017-18 marks the 23rd season that the WBCA has compiled the Honor Rolls.

BW finished the 2017-18 academic year with a team GPA of 3.621 and was one of two Ohio Athletic Conference programs to be named to the Academic Top 25 Honor Roll along with Wilmington College. The Yellow Jackets came in at No. 12 while the Quakers took the No. 25 spot.

"We are proud of the work our kids do in the classroom in some very tough majors," said Veteran Head Coach Cheri Harrer. "There's no doubt they'll be successful long after BW."

In 2017-18, the Yellow Jackets posted an overall record of 15-11 and an 11-7 mark in the conference and advanced to the OAC Tournament for the fifth straight season.
