BEREA, Ohio – Veteran Head Coach Cheri Harrer has announced the 2017-18 schedule for her Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team.
The Yellow Jackets will open up the season at home when they play host to non-conference opponent St. Vincent (Pa.) on Wednesday, November 15, at 6 p.m in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center. Harrer and her team will then hit the road to take part in the Nan Nichols Classic November 18 and 19, hosted by The College of Wooster. BW will play Hanover (Ind.) on November 18 at 1 p.m. and host Wooster on November 19 at 3 p.m., both games taking place inside Timken Gymnasium.
Ohio Athletic Conference play will begin on Wednesday, November 29, when the Yellow Jackets play host to Heidelberg University at 7:30 p.m. The Yellow Jackets will then host Marietta College on December 2 before traveling to Muskingum for the first conference road game against Muskingum University on Saturday, December 9, at 2 p.m.
BW will take part in one other tournament when the team travels down to Orlando, Florida, for the RDV Sportsplex D3 Classic for two games against Hope College (Mich.) on Tuesday, December 19, and Thursday, December 21. Both games will start at 5:30 p.m.
The OAC Tournament is scheduled for February 19-24.
BW finished the 2016-17 season with a 21-5 overall record and a 14-4 mark in the conference, which earned them the No. 2 seed in the OAC Tournament and a berth into the semifinals where they eventually fell to Wilmington 62-59.
