Ludwick Garners First Career OAC Hitter of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University sophomore shortstop Alex Ludwick (Brunswick/Padua Franciscan) has earned Ohio Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week for the first time in his career.

Ludwick led the Yellow Jackets to three OAC victories in the past week, hitting safely 11 times with one double and one triple, for a .478 batting average. The sophomore plated seven runs and scored six of his own.

For his career, Ludwick has 108 hits, with 22 doubles, 11 triples, two homeruns, and 65 runs batted-in. The shortstop owns a batting average of .332, slugging percentage of .486, and has stolen 20 bases. In the field he has accumulated 242 assists, 119 putouts, and owns a .950 fielding percentage.

BW will welcome John Carroll University to Fishers Field for Seniors' Day on Friday, May 3. The Yellow Jackets will then travel to La Roche (Pa.) University on Sunday, May 5 for a non-conference doubleheader and will conclude the regular season with a single nine-inning affair with Mt. Aloysius (Pa.) College on Monday, May 6.
