BEREA, Ohio - Baldwin Wallace University senior two-time All-OAC right-handed pitcher Danny Cody (Medina/ Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) has been named 2019 D3baseball.com All-Mideast Region Pitcher of the Year.

Cody, who was also tabbed to the All-Mideast Region first team, had a stellar senior season after leading the OAC in wins(9), earned run average(1.89), and strikeouts(109). In his senior campaign, he made 15 appearances with 13 game starts, owned a 9-1 record, with 85.2 innings pitched and averaged 11.45 strikeouts per nine innings(K/9). For his career, the righty has made 60 appearances with 33 starts, owns a 19-8 record with two saves, 227 innings pitched, 262 strikeouts, and a 3.33 ERA.

BW concluded its season with an overall record of 27-17 and an OAC mark of 14-4. The Yellow Jackets earned a co-share of the OAC regular season title and made their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in six years, before falling to Concordia University of Chicago (Ill.) in the Regional Championship game.
