Ten Baseball Student-Athletes Named Academic All-OAC

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Ten Baldwin Wallace University baseball student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Senior right fielder Reese Albright (Parma/North Royalton), senior outfielder Andy Blough (Wooster), senior American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Mideast Region pitcher Danny Cody (Medina/Brecksville-Broadview Heights), senior center fielder Brandon Dim (Solon), junior left-handed pitcher Michael Hubert (Cincinnati/Oak Hills), senior infielder Lane Niemann (Willowbrook, Ill./Hinsdale South), senior All-OAC left-hander Jack Raines (Akron/Archbishop Hoban), sophomore infielder Luke Razzante (Highland Heights/Mayfield), junior designated hitter Sam Sustersic (Richfield/Revere) and senior All-OAC first baseman Philip Wells (Buffalo, N.Y./Saint Joseph's Collegiate) are 10 of the 62 Yellow Jacket student-athletes to be recognized this spring.

Albright, who earns his third career Academic All-OAC honor, is a political science major who carries a 3.537 GPA. He is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar, a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society and an intern with the Center for Innovation and Growth. For his career, Albright appeared in 138 games and batted .276 with 115 hits, 54 runs batted-in (RBIs) and 83 runs scored. 

Blough, who also garners his third straight Academic All-OAC accolade, is a national security major who carries a 3.693 GPA. Academically, he is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. In his career, Blough appeared in 87 games with six hits, one RBI and 10 runs scored. 

Cody, who is named to his first Academic All-OAC team, is a finance major who carries a 3.544 GPA. He is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar, a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society and a 2019 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/Google Cloud Academic All-District 7 selection. In his career, Cody made 60 appearances with 33 starts and compiled a 19-8 record with a 3.33 earned run average (ERA) and 262 strikeouts.

Dim, who earns his second career Academic All-OAC honor, is a sport management major who carries a 3.652 GPA. He is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. In his career, Dim has appeared in 65 games with 30 hits, 14 RBIs and 30 runs scored.

Hubert, who also garners his second straight Academic All-OAC accolade, is an accounting and finance double major who carries a 3.541 GPA. A Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar, Hubert has made 46 appearances with four starts in his career and has compiled a 4-7 record with a 3.52 ERA, 85 strikeouts and four saves. 

Niemann, who is named to his second Academic All-OAC team, is a finance major who carries a 3.872 GPA. He is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. In his career, Niemann appeared in 51 games and batted .262 with 22 hits, 16 RBIs and seven runs scored. 

Raines, who earns his first Academic All-OAC honor, is an economics and international business double major who carries a 3.507 GPA. Academically, he is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. For his career, Raines appeared in 59 games with five starts and compiled a 9-7 record with a 3.84 ERA, 149 strikeouts and eight saves. 

Razzante, who also garners his first career Academic All-OAC accolade, is a business major who carries a 3.644 GPA. He is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. In his career, Razzante has appeared in 48 games with 18 hits, six RBIs and nine runs scored. 

Sustersic, who earns his first Academic All-OAC honor, is an accounting and finance double major who carries a 3.911 GPA. He is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. In his career, Sustersic has appeared in 24 games and has batted .333 with 25 hits, 20 RBIs and 10 runs scored.

Wells, who is named to his first Academic All-OAC team, is a business management and statistics double major who carries a 3.722 GPA. He is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. For his career, Wells appeared in 143 games and batted .350 with 143 hits, 98 RBIs and 73 runs scored.
