Cody Named 2019 All-Mideast ABCA Pitcher of the Year

Complete 2019 ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Teams

BEREA, Ohio - Baldwin Wallace University senior two-time American Baseball Coaches Association(ABCA)/Rawlings All-Mideast Region and two-time All-OAC right-handed pitcher Danny Cody (Medina/ Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) adds, Mideast-ABCA Pitcher of the Year to his accolades.

Cody, who also made the 2019 Mideast-ABCA All-Region first team, led the OAC in wins(9), earned run average(1.89), and strikeouts(109) this season and broke BW's single-season strikeout record. The righty made 15 appearances with 13 starts and dealt a team-high 85.2 innings. In his career, Cody has made 60 appearances with 33 starts, owns a 19-8 record with two saves, 227 innings pitched, 262 strikeouts, and a 3.33 ERA.

BW concluded its season with an overall record of 27-17 and an OAC mark of 14-4. The Yellow Jackets earned a co-share of the OAC regular season title and made their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in six years, before falling to Concordia University of Chicago (Ill.) in the Regional Championship game.
