Women's Tennis Falls to Mount Union

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference match, 8-1, to the University of Mount Union on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts.

BW (4-12, 4-3 OAC) fell in an initial hole after falling in the first three doubles matches. In No. 2 doubles, the team of sophomore Ashtyn Morris (Salem) and junior Becca Liebler (Medina) had the most competitive match with a score of 8-6.

In singles play, Liebler secured the No. 5 singles victory for the Yellow Jackets, taking her opponent to a tie-breaking set. The junior won set one, 7-6 before falling in set two, 6-4. She seized the final set, 10-7.

BW will hit the courts tomorrow, Thursday, April 25 for a non-conference matchup with Franciscan University at 3:30 pm. The Yellow Jackets will conclude their regular season with a Seniors' Day match against Otterbein University on Saturday, April 27 at 11 a.m.
