Women's Tennis Defeats Heidelberg for Third Straight Victory

TIFFIN, Ohio – With the 6-3 Ohio Athletic Conference victory over Heidelberg University, the Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team have extended their winning streak to three.

BW (4-11, 4-2 OAC) claimed number one singles by a score of 8-4, with the team of sophomore Ashtyn Morris (Salem) and junior Becca Liebler (Medina).

In singles action, sophomore Jayde Robinson (Cincinnati/School for Creative & Performing Arts) secured number one singles with scores of 6-1 and 6-2. Morris won second singles with a line of 6-0 and 6-1. Taking third singles was Liebler, who won 6-3 and 6-1. Senior Kathleen Moser (Strongsville) seized the fourth singles with scores of 6-1 and 6-2. Sophomore Emma Hubbard (Ortonville, Mich./Brandon High School) won fifth singles with scores of 6-1 and 6-0.

Up next for BW is a non-conference matchup at Franciscan University on Tuesday, April 23 at 3:30 p.m. The Yellow Jackets return to the Pop Collins Tennis Courts on Wednesday, April 24 for an OAC matchup with the University of Mount Union.
