DOVER, Ohio—The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team defeated Ohio Wesleyan, 1-0, Saturday afternoon on Roy Rike Field inside of the Jay Martin Soccer Complex.
The Yellow Jackets (3-0-2) controlled the first half putting 12 shots on goal, but could not get one past the Ohio Wesleyan (0-3-1) goalkeeper.
In the second half BW finally broke through at the 62:45 mark when senior forward Audrie Wolfe (Hilliard/ Darby) chipped the ball over the Ohio Wesleyan goalkeepers' head. The goal is the Wolfe's third of the season.
Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and All-OAC Academic Emily Tallmadge (Fairview, Pa.) reordered her third shutout of the year. The shutout is her 24th of her career, which makes her four shy of the record of 28 shutouts held by Jamie Baringer.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action Sunday, September 13 when they travel to Granville, Ohio to face off against Denison University on Barclay-Thomsen Field at 1 p.m.
