ACADEMIC MAJOR: Early Education

BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Margo Laseak played four years of women's soccer at Baldwin Wallace University and earned four varsity letters. She was a first-team All-Great Lakes Region selection as a senior and played in and started all 80 games during her Yellow Jacket career.

ACADEMIC HONORS AT BW:  Margo was a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference student-athlete who carries a 3.68 grade-point average.  The Dean's List student is a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. She also was honored at the 2011-2012 Student-Athlete & Faculty Recognition Luncheon for having the Highest Grade Point Average on the women's soccer team. As a senior in 2013-14, Margo earned Academic All-OAC and All-Ohio honors. She also earned All-East region honors.

ATHLETICS HONORS:  As a senior in 2013-2014, Margo was named second-team All-OAC, first-team All-Ohio by the OCSA (Ohio College Soccer Association) and second-team All-East Region by the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America).

GENERAL SOCCER INFORMATION: Margo Laseak played four years of soccer and earned four varisty letters. She missed the entire 2011-12 season due to an injury. Margo began her career on defense and switched to the midfield as a red-shirt junior. She helped the Yellow Jackets compile a four-year mark of 39-30-11.

Individually, Margo played in 80 matches, took 63 shots, including 30 on-goal, and had four assits for four points. She was a key member of a defense that allowed 1.09 goals-per-game during her career with 22 shutouts. She had an outstanding senior season when she earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference, All-Ohio, and All-East Region honors as well as Academic All-OAC and Academic All-Ohio accolades.

As a freshman in 2009-2010, Margo played her first season of soccer and earned her first varsity letter. She played midfield and started all 20 games and took five shots. She was named as the "Co-Rookie of the Year". BW finished 6-12-2 overall.

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Margo played her second season of soccer and earned her second varsity letter. She played midfield/ defense and started all 21 games, took 17 shots and had one assist. The assist occurred in a 2-0 win at Oberlin College on Sept. 7, 2010 when she assisted senior Linsey Clapacs (Willoughby/ South) on the match-winning goal at the 12:40 mark.  BW finished 7-10-4 overall.

In 2011-2012, Margo missed the season due to injury.

As a red-shirt junior in 2012-2013, Margo played her third season of soccer and earned her third letter. Margo played midfield/ defense and started all 19 games and took 10 shots. Margo was one of the key members of a defense that allowed just 1.13 goals per game. For her efforts in the classroom and on the field, she earned Academic All-OAC honors. BW finished 12-3-4 overall. 

As a senior in 2013-2014, Margo played her fourth season of soccer and earned her fourth letter. The team captain and midfielder played and started in all 20 matches, took a career-high 31 shots, including 15 ongoal, and had three assists for three points. She again was a key member of a defense that allowed just 1.13 goals-per-game. For her efforts on the field, Margo was second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference, first-team All-Ohio and secnd-team All-East Region. For her efforts in the classroom, Margo was first-team Academic All-Ohio and Academic All-OAC. She helped BW tie its single-season school record for wins with 14 and compile a 14-5-1 record.

FAMILY INFORMATION:   Margo's brother, J.J. was a  linebacker for the Yellow Jacket football team.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Margo Laseak grew up in Mentor, Ohio and graduated from Mentor High School. Margo played soccer for four years and earned four varsity letters.  She also played basketball for four years and lettered twice.  In addition, she ran track for three years and earned three letters.

In soccer, Margo was a member of four Lake Erie League Champioship teams and three District Championship teams.  In basketball as a senior, Margo was a member of Mentor's LEL and District Champion teams, who were also Regional Finalists.

Margo was a member of the National Honor Society and was on the Honor Roll.
