ACADEMIC MAJOR:  Early Childhood Education/Special Education

BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Liz Helser played four years of women's soccer at Baldwin Wallace University and earned four varsity letters. She was a third-team All-Great Lakes Region selection as a junior and played in all 80 games during her Yellow Jacket career.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Liz is a member of the Dean's List.  As a junior in 2012-2013, Liz was named as a first-team OCSA (Ohio College Soccer Association) Academic All-Ohio and was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Athletics Honor Society. She carries a 3.59 grade point average. She received Academic All-OAC honors as a senior.

ATHLETIC HONORS:  Liz is a three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference and three-time OCSA Coaches All-Ohio selection and was tabbed NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) Division III All-Great Lakes Region as a junior.

GENERAL SOCCER INFORMATION:  Liz Helser played four years of soccer (2010-2013) and earned four varsity letters. During her career, BW compiled a 44-28-8 record, including a school-tying 14 wins when she was a senior.

Individually, Liz appeared in 80 matches, including 78 starts during her career. In addition, she took 27 shots, including 13 on-goal, and scored nine total points on four goals and one assist.  Liz was a key member of the BW defense which had six shutouts during her senior season.

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Liz played in her first season of soccer and earned her first varsity letter. She played and started in all 21 games as a defender. Liz took five shots, including three on-goal. For her efforts, she was a second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference and third-team All-Ohio selection. B-W finished 7-10-4 overall and qualified for the OAC Tournament.

As a sophomore in 2011-12, Liz competed in her second season of soccer and earned her second varsity letter. She played and started in all 21 games  as a defender. Liz scored two goals and had an assist for five points. She was named second-team All-OAC and third-team All-Ohio. B-W finished 11-9 overall and advanced to the OAC Tournament. 

As a junior in 2012-13, Liz played in her third season of soccer and earned her third varsity letter. She started in all 19 games and recorded eight total shots, including three on-goal and scored one goal. More importantly, she was a key defender on a team that allowed just 12 goals in 19 matches and led the OAC with a 0.61 goals-allowed-average. Individually, Liz was named to first-team All-OAC and first-team All-Ohio and third-team NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) Division III All-Great Lakes Region. In addition, Liz was a first-team Academic All-Ohio pick. The Yellow Jackets finished 12-3-4 overall.

As a senior in 2013-14, Liz played in her fourth season of soccer and earned her fourth varsity letter.  She played in all 20 matches and recorded five total shots, including two on-goal and scored one goal.  Individually, Liz received Academic All-OAC honors, as she carries a 3.59 grade point average. She was named as B-W's Most Valuable Player.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Liz attended Bishop Luers High School as a freshman and sophomore and Canterbury High School as a junior and senior.  She played four years of soccer and earned four varsity letters.  She also earned two letters in swimming.

As a freshman in 2006, Liz was the Player of the Month once, Rookie of the Year, All-Conference and honorable mention ICGSA All-State. As a junior in 2008, Liz was Academic All-State and was named Defensive Player of the Year. As a senior in 2009, Liz was a team captain and an Indiana All-Star Selection. Liz played in and started in 73 games, took 60 shots, scored seven goals and had 45 assists for 59 career points.

Academically, Liz was on the Principal's Honor List, named to the Academic All-State Team, and was named ISSMA All-State Liz also was involved in activities outside of athletics and was named as the Key Club Volunteer of the Year.  She also recieved the President's Physical Fitness Award and named as a Canterbury H.S. Senior Leader.
