BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: As a senior in 2013-2014, Emily competed in her third season of soccer and earned her third varsity letter.
ACADEMIC HONORS AT BW: As a sophomore in 2011, Emily was named a Jacket Scholar. She maintains a 3.75 grade point average. Emily was inducted into the National College Athlete Honor Society, Chi Alpha Sigma. As a senior in 2013-14, Emily was named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference for carrying an outstanding 3.71 grade point average.
GENERAL SOCCER INFORMATION: Emily played three years of soccer at Baldwin Wallace University and earned three varsity letters.
Individually, she appeared in 53 matches, including 37 starts, took 16 shots, including ten on-goal, scored one goal, added four assists and scored six total points.
As a freshman in 2010, Emily did not play due to injury.
As a sophomore in 2011, Emily played her first season of soccer and helped the Yellow Jackets to compile an 11-9 overall record. She earned her first varsity letter. During the season, Emily played in 18 varsity contests, took eight shots, including six on-goal, scored one goal and had one assist for three points. Her lone goal was the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory against Penn State-Behrend University (Oct. 5, 2011).
As a junior in 2012-13, Emily competed in her second season of soccer. She appeared in 19 games, had two shots and two assists this season for a total of two points. Emily helped BW compile a 12-3-4 record.
As a senior in 2013-14, Emily competed in her third season of soccer and earned her third varsity letter. Emily saw action in 16 matches, 14 of which she started. She took six shots, four on target and recorded one assist. Emily was named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference for carrying an outstanding 3.71 grade point average.
HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Emily Sanders grew up in Canton, Ohio and graduated from Jackson High School. Emily played four years of soccer and lettered all four years.
As a junior, Emily was Honorable Mention Federal League. As a senior, she was Honorable Mention Federal League once again as well as team captain and team defensive player.
