Wrestling Salutes Six Senior Student-Athletes

BEREA, Ohio –   The Baldwin Wallace University Athletic Department and wrestling program would like to congratulate senior student-athletes Stanley Bleich, Dante Ginetti, Kevin Kelly, Dalton Leightner, Tanner McHugh and Ryan Orr on completing their outstanding athletic careers at the University.

While the NCAA has extended another year of eligibility, it is uncertain if each of these student-athlete will come back for another season or continue down their career path. So, the University administration, faculty and staff congratulates these six young men on their outstanding athletic and academic careers as well as their leadership to the wrestling program. The University would like to wish each of them all the best of luck in their future endeavors and hope that even after graduation that they come back and visit us often. They will always be a Yellow Jacket for Life (YJ4L).

Bleich is an English and religion double major from North Ridgeville, Ohio and graduate of Elyria Catholic High School. He is three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, a two-time NCAA Division III National Championships qualifier and a National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) All-American. This season, Bleich was a perfect 6-0 with 15 takedowns, four escapes and two major decisions.  For his career, he ranks ninth on the all-time wins list with 105 victories and a 105-20 record. Off the mat, Bleich is a three-time NWCA Scholar All-American team selection, two-time Academic All-OAC performer, a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American, Dean's List student, a Jacket scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. He is the son of Stanley and Jeanine Bleich of North Ridgeville.

 

 

 

 

 

Ginetti is an accounting and finance double major from Poland, Ohio and graduate of Seminary High School.  He is a two-time All-OAC selection, a two-time NCAA Division III National Championships qualifier and the 2019 NCAA Central Region Most Valuable Wrestler. This season, Ginetti was 4-2 with eight reversals, four takedowns, two pins and one technical fall.    For his career, he ranks 20th on the all-time wins list with 89 and a record of 89-32, Off the mat, Ginetti is a two-time Academic All-OAC performer, a NWCA All-Academic team  and CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 At-Large selections, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Sigma honoraries. He is the son of Dan and Ami Ginnetti of Poland.

 

 

 

 

 

Kelly is a finance and marketing double major from North Olmsted, Ohio and a graduate of North Olmsted High School.   This season, Kelly was undefeated at 7-0 with five takedowns, two pins, one major decision and one technical fall. For his career, Kelly posted a record of 33-21 with 38 takedowns, nine major decisions, five pins and four technical falls.  He is the son of Doug and Cheron Kelly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Leightner is an athletic training major from Ravenna, Ohio and a graduate of Rootstown High School.  He is NWCA All-American first-team selection and a three-time OAC Wrestler of the Week performer.  This season, Leightner was 3-2 with five escapes, three falls and three takedowns.   For his career, he ranks 26th on the all-time wins list with 78 victories and a record of 78-34.  Off the matt, Leightner is a two-time NWCA Scholar All-American team pick.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

McHugh is an accounting major from New Ringgold, Pennsylvania and graduate of  Tamaqua High School. He is an All-OAC second-team selection.  his season, McHugh was 2-0 with 15 takedowns, one pin and one technical fall.   For his career, he ranks tied for 38th on the all-time wins list with 65 victories and a record of 65-32.  Off the mat, McHugh is a two-time NWCA Scholar All-American team selection, two-time All-Academic All-OAC  performer,  Dean's list student, Jacket Scholar and member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. He is the son of Rodney and Karen McHugh of New Ringgold.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Orr is a business administration major from Wadsworth, Ohio and a graduate of Wadsworth High School.  This season, he is was 7-1 with five takedowns, five escapes and four pins. For his career, Orr totaled 44 victories with 104 escapes, 80 takedowns,  10 pins, two major decisions and two technical falls.   He is the son of Bryant and Shari Orr of Wadsworth.
