Wrestling Unveils 2021 Schedule

BEREA, Ohio – After claiming its second NCAA Division III Central Region Championship in three years, the Baldwin Wallace University wrestling team under the direction of head coach Jamie Gibbs and Ohio Athletic Conference has unveiled its 2021 schedule.  As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 fall and non-conference portions of the schedule were postponed, and a 2021 conference only schedule was approved and will begin on January 23.   

The OAC will crown its regular season champion with  a round-robin schedule of dual meets held on January 24 at the University of Mount Union and February 7 at Ohio Northern University.  Times for these duals will be determined at a later date.

BW opens the season at Mount Union inside the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex on January 31 with matches against crosstown rival John Carroll University, Muskingum University and Ohio Northern University. 

The Yellow Jackets will then host the BW Duals on February 1.  Matches and times for the meet duals have not been set at this time. 

BW closes out the regular season on February 7 at Ohio Northern inside the ONU Sports Center with matches against Wilmington College, Mount Union, Otterbein University and Heidelberg University. 

The Yellow Jackets will look to defend its regional championship on Friday and Saturday, February 26 and 27 when they travel to Adrian, Michigan for the NCAA Division III Central Region Championships hosted by Adrian College inside the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center.  Action begins at 11 a.m. on Friday and concludes at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The NCAA Division III Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin La Crosse will be contested on Friday and Saturday, March 12 and 13 inside the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin.   Friday's action is slated to begin at 12 p.m. and Saturday's finale scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
