BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Josh Decatur competed in his second season of wrestling at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. The 2015 NCAA Division III national tournament qualifier earned his second varsity letter.

ATHLETICS HONORS:  As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Josh earned Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week honors on January 26, 2015. 

NCAA NATIONAL TOURNEY:  As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Josh qualified for the 2015 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament at 141 pounds.

GENERAL WRESTLING INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2013-2014, Josh competed in his first season of wrestling and earned his first varsity letter. He competed for mat time at 141-pounds. Josh had a 16-20 overall record with 52 takedowns, 45 escapes, seven reversals and nine total near falls. BW finished 8-3 overall and 22nd at the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament.

As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Josh competed in his second season of wrestling and earned his second letter. He started at 141 pounds. Josh earned OAC Wrestler of the Week honors on January 26, 2015 for compiling a 4-0 record, including a 3-0 mark and leading BW to the title at the Thiel (Pa.) College Mel Berry Duals on Jan. 23. He placed third at the NCAA Division III Mideast Region Tournament and qualified (top-three qualify) for the 2015 NCAA Division III National Tournament. He narrowly missed becoming a Div. III All-American at 141 pounds. Josh had a 33-12 record with four pins and one technical fall. He also had a team-leading 88 takedowns, 51 escapes, nine reversals and eight total near falls. BW finished with a school-record 17 victories, finished 17-6 overall and placed second, including a 4-1 OAC dual match mark, won the John Summa Memorial Tournament title, placed sixth at the Div. III Mideast Regional and 20th at the 2015 NCAA Division III National Tournamet in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Josh grew up in Akron, Ohio and graduated from Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy.

Josh played four years of football and earned four varsity letters, wrestled for four years and lettered four times and competed in baseball for four seasons and lettered three times. He earned a total of 11 varsity letters.

In football, Josh was a three-time All-President's Athletic Conference - 7 selection and a team captain.

In wrestling, Josh was a three-time All-PAC-7 competitor, a three-time OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Association) State Tournament place-winner and a team captain.

Academically, Josh was a member of the CVCA 3.0 Club.
