BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Markus Cruz competed in his first season of wrestling at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. He earned his first varsity letter.
GENERAL WRESTLING INFORMATION, As a freshman in 2014-2015, Markus competed in his first season of wrestling and earned his first varsity letter. He started at 133 pounds and compiled a 22-18 record with eight pins. Individually, Markus had 37 takedowns, 38 escapes, 20 reversals and 13 total near falls. BW set a single-season school-record with 17 wins, finished 17-6 overall and 4-1 in OAC dual matches, won the 29th Annual John Summa Memorial Tournament, placed sixth at the NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional and 20th at the 2015 NCAA Div. III National Tournament.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Markus Cruz grew up in Lorain, Ohio and graduated from Lorain Clearview High School.
Markus earned two varsity letters in wrestling. He earned All-Patriot Athletic Conference honors, was a two-time District qualifier and placed seventh at the OHSAA State Tournament.
