BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Andrew Taylor '14 had an outstanding four-year career in wrestling at Baldwin Wallace University. Highlighting his career was being a qualifier for the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament and being named as a NWCA (National Wrestling Coaches Association) Scholar All-American.

ACADEMIC HONORS:   Andrew carries a 3.3 grade point average, is a Dean's List student and was named as a 2014 NWCA (National Wrestling Coaches Association) Scholar All-American.

ATHLETIC HONORS: As a senior in 2013-2014, Andrew won an individual title at the 28th Annual John Summa Memorial Tournament, placed third at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Tournament and qualified for the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament. He also was a second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection.

GENERAL WRESTLING INFORMATION: Andrew Taylor had an outstanding four-year wrestling career at BW. He compiled a 92-70 career record, including three 20-win seasons that was highlighted as a senior.

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Andrew competed in his first season of wrestling and earned his first letter. He alternated between the 133, 141 and 149-pound weight classes and compiled a 21-18 record with six falls. He had 82 takedowns, 27 escapes, seven reversals, 10 near falls.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Andrew competed in his second season of wrestling and earned his second letter.  He alternated between the 133 and 141-pound weight classes and posted a 13-16 record with four falls. He had 26 takedowns, 33 escapes, six reversals, and seven near falls.  Andrew placed fifth at both the 2011 Rochester (N.Y.) Institute of Technology Tournament and at the Ashland University Harris Open Meet.

As a junior in 2012-2013, Andrew competed in his third season of wrestling and earned his third letter. He was the starting 141-pounder and compiled a 21-16 overall record with seven falls. He had a team-high 82 takedowns, 39 escapes and 15 reversals.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Andrew competed in his fourth season of wrestling and earned his fourth letter. He began the season as the starting 141-pounder and moved to 133 pounds following Christmas Break. Andrew won an individual title at the 28th Annual John Summa Memorial Tournament, placed third at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Tournament and qualified for the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament. At the national tournament, Andrew lost both of his matches. He was a second-team All-OAC selection. He had a 32-17 record with 12 pins. He also had a team-leading 98 takedowns and 14 reversals and 65 escapes and 20 total near falls.  BW finished 8-3 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Andrew Taylor grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Worthington Kilbourne High School.  He wrestled for four years and earned four varsity letters.  He also played soccer for three years.

In wrestling, Andrew was an OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Association) State Tournament qualifier. He also earned second-team All-Ohio Capital Conference honors and was named third-team All-Metro

Academically, Andrew was an OCC and Worthington Kilbourne H.S. Scholar-Athlete.
