Men Finish Sixth at OAC Championships

ADA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College men's cross country team placed sixth today (Saturday, October 29, 2011) at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Ohio Northern University.

The Yellow Jacket men were led by junior Ken Janosko (Mentor), who was the individual runner-up of 156 runners as he completed 8k course in 25:44.8. He was followed in the Yellow Jacket top five by junior Nick Jeffers (South Amherst/ Firelands) in 36^th place in 27:15.0, senior Thomas Wilkin (Powell/ Olentangy Liberty) in 46^th in 27:30.6, freshman Greg Blevins (Mentor) in 50^th in 27:32.8, senior Drew Beck (Canandaigua, N.Y./ Canandaigua Academy) in 53^rd place in 27:39.0 and junior David Gerding (Strongsville) was 57^th in 27:44.4.

In addition, sophomore Dusan Vasic (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville-Broadview Heights) was 62^nd in 27:48.5, senior Zach Szablewski (Tiffin/ Calvert) in 77^th place in 28:10.3, freshman Isaac Baker (Lithia, Fla./ Newsome) in 83^rd place in 28:17.5, sophomore Stephen Humbert (Middletown/ Lakota East) in 95^th place in 28:39.9, senior Michael Sisko (Olmsted Falls) in 97^th place in 28:46.2, senior Brian Gibbons (Rocky River) in 125^th place in 29:35.3, senior Justin Brown (Sandusky) in 137^th place in 30:40.8 and junior Ryan Fallow (Medina) finished in 149^th in 31:56.7.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, November 12 when they travel to Oberlin, Ohio to compete at the 2011 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Meet at 11:00 a.m.
