Men’s Lacrosse Slated Second in OAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – After winning the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season title the last three seasons, the Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team was tabbed for second in the 2024 OAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

BW received 73 points and two first-place votes from the other nine OAC teams. The defending OAC Tournament champions John Carroll University were voted to finish first after receiving 79 points and seven first-place votes. Capital University was voted into third with 63 points and one first-place vote, and Ohio Northern University was voted to place fourth with 61 votes. Rounding out the top five was University of Mount Union, as they totaled 43 points.

Under the direction of third-year Head Coach Tony Tatro, the team returns three Academic All-OAC selections and five All-OAC performers, who finished with an overall record of 16-3 and a 9-0 record during conference play last season.

The Yellow Jackets open their season on Saturday, Feb. 17 when they travel to Danville, Kentucky to take on Centre (Ky.) College in a non-conference contest at 1:00 p.m. on the Joe McDaniel Field. BW's first home game is on Wednesday, Feb. 21 when the team faces Kenyon College for a non-conference matchup. The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.
