LoPiccolo Earns First Career OAC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week Honor

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Senior goalkeeper Samuel LoPiccolo (Mason / William Mason) of the Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

LoPiccolo led the Yellow Jackets' defense in their home opener against Kenyon College last week. He tallied seven ground balls, made 20 saves and caused a turnover in the third quarter.

Among the two games this season, LoPiccolo has racked up 29 saves and 12 ground balls. In his career, LoPiccolo is tied for seventh in career saves on the BW All-Time Leaderboard and is seventh in career minutes.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 28 when they travel for a non-conference road contest against No. 19 Denison University on the Kienzle-Hylbert Field. The game is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
