Men's Lacrosse Drops Season Opener to Centre (Ky.)

DANVILLE, Ky. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team fell to Centre (Ky.) College by a final score of 12-10 in a non-conference matchup on Joe McDaniel Field inside Andy Frye Stadium. 

BW (0-1) was led by sophomore midfielder Ian Shealy (Westerville / Central) as he tallied a game-high four goals along with two ground balls. Freshmen attack/midfielders Paxton Allison (Redondo Beach, Calif. / St. John Bosco) and Joe Torborg (St. Cloud, Minn. / St. Cloud Cathedral) scored the first goals of their collegiate careers. 

Centre (Ky.) was led by junior midfielder Max Speers as he notched four goals with 10 shots.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 21 for their home opener as they face Kenyon College for a non-conference matchup. The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. on the Tressel Field inside of the George Finnie Stadium.
