DOVER, Ohio - Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Henry Neumann (Broadview Heights / adua Franciscan) earns Co-Medalist as the the Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team opened the 2022-23 season by placing second at the Gatorade Collegiate Invitational hosted by The College of Wooster at Zoar Village Golf Course.
With a two-day total of 592 on the par-72, 6,700-yard Zoar Village layout, BW placed second out of 10 teams. The College of Wooster took the first-place slot with a total of 587.
The top five leading BW:
- Neumann placed second and tallied rounds of 70 for a two day total of 140
- Senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC selection Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls) placed third and carded rounds of 73 and 69 for a total of 142.
- Junior Christian Miller (North Lawrence / Tuslaw) tied seventh and had rounds of 74 and 75 for a total of 149
- Junior All-OAC Ryan Green (Conneaut / Edgewood) placed 33rd carded 82 and 79 for a total of 161
- Junior Trevor Mackey (Brunswick) tied 38th and tallied rounds of 83 for a total of 166
Playing as individuals:
- Junior Alex Baker (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Hills) tied 20th while carding rounds of 77 and 78 for a total of 155
- Sophomore Logan Cook (Berea / Berea-Midpark) tied 29th and had rounds of 81 and 78 for a two day total of 159
- Freshman Daniel Crane (Commercial Point / Teays Valley) tied 38th and tallied rounds of 85 and 81 for total of 166
- Freshman Zach Hritz (Columbia Station / Columbia) placed 44th and tallied rounds of 92 and 89 for a total of 181
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, September 10 when they host the BW Fall Invitational at Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley.
