Men's Golf 2022-23 Season Outlook

BEREA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team under the direction of 10-year coach Wayne Schneider is ready to hit the links for the 2022-23 season. 

Schneider, who is in his 10th season, returns six letterwinners and three Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer from last year's squad that finished fifth at the OAC Championships. The team will feature two seniors, three juniors, two sophomores and two freshmen.

Highlighting the returners are senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC selection Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls), senior Academic All-OAC selection Henry Neumann (Broadview Heights / Padua Franciscan), and junior All-OAC Ryan Green (Conneaut / Edgewood). Bratsch was second on the team a year ago with a career-best 76.10 stroke average, including firing a career-low round of 69 at OAC Championships. Neumann was third on the squad a season ago with a career-best 77.48 stroke average, including a career-low round of 73 at the OAC Championships. Green finished forth on the team in 2021-22 with a career-best 81.47 stroke average, including posting a career-low round of  70 at the OAC Championships

In addition, juniors Alex Baker (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Hills)Trevor Mackey  (Brunswick) and sophomores Logan Cook (Berea / Berea-Midpark), Christian Miller (North Lawrence / Tuslaw) bring veteran leadership to the starting lineup.

BW opens the 2022 fall campaign on September 3 and 4 when it travels to Dover to compete in the Gatorade Collegiate Invitational hosted by The College of Wooster at the Zoar Village Golf Course.  The Yellow Jackets will host the BW Fall Invitational on September 10 at the Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley.
