BALDWIN WALLACE INFORMATION:

SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): As a junior in 2011-12, Ben competed in his second season of basketball and earned his second varsity letter. As a freshman in 2009-2010, Ben played basketball at NCAA Division I Youngstown State University and then transferred to Baldwin-Wallace.

GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION: Ben is off to a solid basketball career thus far. B-W has recorded a 25-26 record during his first two seasons as a Yellow Jacket. He has appeared in 48 games and has averaged 5.5 points per game and has grabbed 4.6 rebounds per game. Ben has recorded a career total of 264 points, 23 blocks, 126 assists and 87 steals.

As a freshman in 2009-2010, Ben played basketball at Youngstown State University. He was medically red-shirted following an injury and subsequent surgery. He transferred to Baldwin-Wallace College following his freshman year at YSU.

As a junior in 2011-12, Ben is playing in his second season of basketball and is a starter at guard. He is currently a nominee for both Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference and CoSIDA Academic All-America honors. As the starting guard in all 26 games, he finished third on the team in scoring with 7.5 ppg., lead the team in rebounding with 6.2 rpg, assists with 96 and steals with 60. Ben had his first career-double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds in a 70-65 victory at Ohio Northern University on January 14, 2012 and his second with 15 points and 10 rebounds against Wilmington on January 28, 2012.  Ben earned All-OAC Academic honors for the 2011-12 season.

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PLAYED (YEARS & LETTERS EARNED): Ben competed for four seasons of baskteball and earned three varsity letters.  He also competed on one season of baseball, but did not earn a varsity letter.

HIGH SCHOOL HONORS, (ALL-CONFERENCE, DISTRICT,  ETC.): As a junior in basketball, Ben was first team All-MAC and All-Northeast Ohio District Honorable Mention.  As a senior in basketball, Ben again earned first team All-MAC and was the MAC Player of the Year.  He also earned All-NEO District first team honors and was Co-Player of the Year.  Ben also was a member of the first team All-Ohio (Division II) and a member of the first team State Tournament Team in Division II. Ben was a member of the National Honor Society and was  a Student-Athlete of the Week. As a junior, Ben averaged 11 ppg, 2.6 apg, 7.0 rpg and 3.2 stp.  As a senior, Ben averaged 16 ppg, 5.5 apg, 5.2rpg, 7.1 spg and 1.1 bpg.  He also set school and state records in steals in a season with 176 and in a game with 14.
