Hudson Earns First Career OAC Football Offensive Player of the Week Honor

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University junior quarterback Jake Hudson (East Lake, Fla.) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career. 

Hudson accounted for 367 of 572 total yards of offense as BW (2-2, 1-2 OAC) defeated Marietta College by a final score of 52-24 in the 40th Lee Tressel Shrine Classic.   He completed 16 of 27 passes for 260 yards and a career-high five touchdowns and rushed for 107 yards on 11 carries.  Hudson was named as the Yellow Jacket Shrine Classic Player of the Game for his efforts.

This season, he has completed 43 of 89 passes for 629 yards and seven touchdowns.  Hudson has 199 rushing yards on 47 carries with a long of 35 yards and has caught one pass for 24 yards. 

For his career, Hudson has appeared in 13 games and has completed 164 of 290 passes for 2,117 yards with 15 touchdowns.   He has carried the ball 177 times for 874 yards and seven touchdowns.  Hudson has rushed for 100 or more yards on four occasions.  He has caught three passes for 68 yards and one touchdown.

BW returns to action this Saturday, October 6 when it hosts an OAC and Homecoming game against Wilmington College on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium at 2 p.m.
