Two Women's Tennis Players Receive Academic All-OAC Accolades

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio- Two Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Senior Kayla Eeg (Waterford, Pa./General McLane) and senior Kelly Peskura (Strongsville) were two of 41 student-athletes to be recognized.

Eeg, who earns her third straight Academic All-OAC honor, is a pre-physical therapy major and carries a 3.83 GPA. She is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and the Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies. This season, the senior won a career-best 6 singles matches and received the BW Academic Excellence Award for highest GPA on the team.

Peskura, who earns her second consecutive Academic All-OAC selection, is a Spanish education major who carries a 3.65 GPA. She is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Athletics Honor Society. In her final season in Berea, Peskura finished with a 9-5 singles record, including a 4-1 mark at No. 5 and a 1-2 record in doubles action.
