LORAIN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team fell 8-1 in non-conference action to The College of Wooster inside the Foxcreek Family Tennis Center.

BW (7-6, 1-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) fell into an early hole after dropping all three doubles matches. The No. 1 doubles pairing of junior All-OAC player Imani Robinson (Cincinnati/School for Creative & Performing Arts) and freshman Jayde Robinson (Cincinnati/School for Creative & Performing Arts) fought the Fighting Scots (12-2 overall) to an 8-5 score while senior Shannon Finkenthal (Beachwood) and junior Kathleen Moser (Strongsville) also fell 8-5 over at No. 3 doubles.

An illness caused a shift to the Yellow Jackets' singles lineup as everyone from No. 4 to No. 6 had to move up one spot in the lineup. Making her season debut at No. 5 singles, senior Academic All-OAC player Kelly Peskura (Strongsville) earned BW's only win of the afternoon with a solid 6-2, 6-2 performance. Moser put up the next best fight in singles as she fell her Wooster opponent by scores of 6-3, 6-2.

BW will return to OAC action on Tuesday, April 10, when the Yellow Jackets host Ohio Northern University at 4:30 p.m. at the Pop Collins Tennis Courts.
