Tallmadge Ties Women's Soccer Shutout Record in Tie Versus Wilmington

BEREA,Ohio— Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC goalkeeper Emily Tallmadge (Fairview, Pa./ Fairview) tied the Yellow Jacket career record for total shutouts at 28 as the women's soccer team tied Wilmington College, 0-0 in double overtime, in an OAC game Friday evening on Tressel Field inside of The George Finnie Stadium.

Tallmadge faced 13 Quaker (8-5, 2-2-1 OAC) shots and made four saves in recording her seventh total and four individual shutout this season and the 28th total shutout of her Yellow Jacket (9-4-3, 3-1-1 OAC) career to tie BW Hall of Famer Jamie Baringer (1994-1997) for the most in school history.  She had eight whitewashes as a freshman, four as a sophomore and a career-high nine last fall.  Tallmadge has allowed just 0.98 goals-per-game in 77 career contests to produce a 44-21-11 career mark in more than 6,900 minutes of action.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, October 21 when they travel to University Heights to play OAC and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University on Wasmer Field inside of Don Shula Stadium at 4 p.m.
