BEXLEY,Ohio—The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team was defeated by top-seeded Capital University in the Ohio Athletic Conference Semifinals, 1-0 at the 90:42 mark inside of Bernlohr Stadium.
BW (11-6-5) ends its season with a record of 11-6-5. Capital (14-3) looks to win its third-straight OAC Championship when it hosts the two-seeded Ohio Northern University on Saturday, November 7 at a time to be determined inside of Bernlohr Stadium.
After 90 minutes of strong defensive play by both teams the score was tied, 0-0. The Crusaders outshot the Yellow Jackets 17 to five in regulation.
Just 42 seconds into the first overtime period Capital scored the game-winning goal off of a corner kick.
Senior All-OAC and All-OAC Academic goalkeeper Emily Tallmadge (Fairview, Pa.) finishes her career with an impressive 46-23-13 record.
After the conclusion the Championship game on Saturday the OAC will announce the All-Conference team and special award winners.
