Women’s Soccer Goalie Tallmadge Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

BEREA, Ohio—Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC women's soccer goalie Emily Tallmadge (Fairview, Pa./ Fairview) has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) District 7 Academic All-District team.

Each year, CoSIDA selects both Academic All-District and Academic All-America teams. A student-athlete must possess a minimum 3.3 grade point average, be of sophomore status and be a starter or key backup who has appeared in 70 percent of her team's matches. The women who are selected are the best Division III student-athletes in their districts.

Tallmadge
, a four-year starter, holds a 3.79 grade point average in chemistry and is a Dean's List student. Tallmadge is also a two-time Academic All-OAC and an Ohio Collegiate Soccer Coaches Association (OCSCA) Academic All-Ohio selection, and member of the Alpha Lambda and Chi Sigma Alpha honorees.

Tallmadge
has played more than 7,000 minutes in net for BW, and has a record of 45-21-13. She also has a BW career-record 31 shutouts after the 2-0 victory against Ohio Northern University on Wednesday evening.  

This season, Tallmadge has led BW to a 10-4-5 overall and 4-1-3 OAC record and is allowing just 0.83 goals-per-game with five individual and eight total shutouts. She has 89 saves.

and the Yellow Jackets have their last regular season game against Capital University on Seniors' and Parents' Night on Friday, October 30. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tressel Field inside of The George Finnie Stadium.
