ADA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's cross country team placed fourth today (Saturday, October 29, 2011) at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Ohio Northern University.
The B-W women scored 106 points and placed fourth of 10 total teams. The Yellow Jacket men had 161 points to place sixth of 10 OAC schools.
The women were led by junior Sarah Rospert (Milan/ Edison) as she placed 13th of 157 total runners and completed the 6K course in 23:11.4. She was followed in the top on the team by junior junior Shaina Kovatch (Parma/ Valley Forge) in 15th place in 23:15.2, junior Lauren McGaughey (Allison Park, Pa./ Hampton) in 21st place in 23:26.9, junior Tess Hoogeveen (Westerville/ South) in 26th place in 23:57.0 and sophomore Brooke Hradisky (Aurora) was 31st in 24:06.7.
In addition, sophomore Jamie Clapacs (Willoughby Hills/ South) was 42nd in 24:28.1, sophomore Lauren Hutka (North Ridgeville/ Grafton Midview) was 59th in 25:13.8, sophomore Blair Vrcan (Mentor) was 72nd in 25:38.6, senior Lynne Fahy (Ontario, N.Y,/ Wayne Central) in 78th in 25:47.8, senior Judy Patterson (Alquippa, Pa./ Monaca Center) placed 88th in 26:08.1 and senior Julie Kotesovec (Litchfield Township/ Medina Buckeye) placed 110th in 26:45.3.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, November 12 when they travel to Oberlin, Ohio to compete at the 2011 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Meet at 11:00 a.m.
