BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Rebecca Kapusta played four seasons of women's golf at Baldwin Wallace University (2009-2013) and earned four varsity letters.  She was one of the best to ever play at BW.

Rebecca was a four-year starter who led BW to a 225-117-2 record and 14 invitational titles, including two Ohio Athletic Conference titles (2011 and 2012) and to two berths in the NCAA Division III National Tournament.

NGCA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE AWARDS:  As both a sophomore in 2010-2011 and junior in 2011-2012, Rebecca was chosen by the Division III Women's Golf Coaches Association as a Scholar-Athlete award winner.  The 2012-2013 awards have not been announced yet.

ACADEMIC HONORS AT BW: Rebecca is a member of the Alpha Lamba Honor Society and also a Dean's List student.  As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Rebecca was awarded the 2011 Ted & Irene Theodore Scholarship.  Rebecca was also recognized as a Jacket Scholar for maintaing a cumulative GPA over 3.5. She was named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference in 2010-11 and 2012. Rebecca was also a recipient of the Jacket Scholar in 2012 along with the induction as a Chi Alpha Sigma.

GENERAL GOLF INFORMATION:  Rebecca Kapusta is one of the finest female golfing student-athletes to ever play at Baldwin Wallace University.  The 2-time All-OAC, three-time Academic All-OAC and 2-time NGCA All-American Scholar helped to lead the Yellow Jackets to OAC titles in 2011 and 2012 and place 15th at the NCAA Division III National Tournament in 2011 and 16th in 2012.

Individually, Rebecca played in 44 career tournaments and 79.5 rounds of 18 holes. She averaged 88.57 strokes per round and had a career-low round of 77 at the Trine (Ind.) University Tournament. She also was the medalist at the 2012 University of Mount Union Purple Raider Classic and twice earned OAC Player of the Week honors.

As a freshman in 2009-2010, Rebecca competed in her first season of golf and earned her first varsity letter.  In the fall of 2009, she competed in five tournaments and nine rounds and averaged 97.11 strokes per round. She shot a season-best 93 in the first round of the Gannon (Pa.) University Tournament. During the spring, Rebecca competed in five tournaments and played nine rounds and averaged 95.56 strokes per round.  Her best round came at the OAC Tournament where she posted an 85 in the second round.  She led B-W and placed 14th (94+85=179).

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Rebecca played her second season of golf and earned her second letter. During the 2010 fall season, she played in six tournaments and 10 rounds and averaged 86.50 strokes. She shot a season-low 81 at the Wittenburg University Tournament. During the 2011 spring, Rebecca played in six tournaments and 12 rounds and averaged 88.33 strokes per round. Her best round was an 81 at the Mount Union Invitational. The Yellow Jackets compiled a 83-18 combined fall and spring record and won invitational tournaments at Grove City (Pa.) College, Capital University and the OAC Tournament. B-W also qualified for the NCAA Division III National Tournament and placed 15th. For her efforts at the OAC Tournament, Rebecca earned second-team All-OAC honors. She also was tabbed Academic All-OAC.

As a junior in 2011-2012, Rebecca played her third season of golf and earned her third letter. During the 2010-11 fall season, she played in five tournaments and eight total rounds and averaged 88.75 strokes per round. During the 2011-12 spring season, Rebecca earned OAC Player of the Week honors for her efforts in tying for low-round of 85 and leading B-W to a team title at the SUNY-Cortland Spring Break Tri-Match in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She also earned medalist honors by shooting a career-low 77 and led B-W to a team title at the Trine (Ind.) University Spring Invitational on April 20.  Rebecca played in seven tournaments and a total of 14 rounds. She recorded 1195 strokes for an average of 85.36. B-W went 59-42-1 on the year and ended up 16th of 19 teams at the 2012 NCAA Division III National Tournament. Individually, Rebecca was a second-team All-OAC selection, an Academic All-OAC pick and was tabbed by the NGCA as an Division III All-American Scholar.

As a senior in 2012-2013, Rebecca played her fourth season of golf and earned her fourth letter. In the fall of 2012, she played in five tournaments and 10 total rounds and averaged 85.0 strokes per round. She led BW To two team titles and a 33-8 record. In the spring of 2013, she led BW to the team title at the University of Mount Union Purple Raider Classic and earned medalist honors by shooting a 79. She earned OAC Player of the Week honors on March 26 for that effort. She played in five tournaments and 7.5 rounds and averaged 83.6-0 per round. She helped BW to win the Capital Purple & White Tournament and the Ohio Wesleyan University Laura Bump tourney titles. She earned first-team All-OAC and Academic All-OAC accolades. BW had a 30-5 spring record.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Rebecca Kapusta grew up in Independence, Ohio and graduated from Independence High School.  She played two years of golf and earned one varsity letter. She also played four years of basketball and earned three letters. In addition, she played two years of volleyball, but did not letter.

As a senior in golf, Rebecca was honorable mention All-Chagrin Valley Conference.  As a sophomore in basketball, she was honorable mention All-CVC. As a junior and senior, she was second team All-CVC.  Also as a senior in basketball she was All-Sun Courier.
