SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): As a senior in 2012, Katie competed in her third season of softball and earned her third varsity letter.  

GENERAL SOFTBALL INFORMATION:  Katie had a solid softball career during her time at B-W. B-W recorded a 69-48 record during three seasons in the Brown & Gold. For her career, Katie hit .266 (83-of-312) with 45 runs scored, 15 doubles, 41 RBI, and four home runs.

Katie began her collegiate career in 2008-2009 as a student-athlete at Defiance College. As a freshman, she appeared in eight games, including one start, and batted .200 (2-for-10).

As a sophomore in 2009-10, Katie played in her first season of softball and is the starting second baseman.  Katie started all of the 37 games that she appeared in.  She recorded a .294 batting average (30-102) while scoring 15 runs for the Yellow Jackets.  She also hit seven doubles, one home run, and drove in 15 runs.  In the field she recorded 79 putouts to go along with 61 assists while only commiting six errors to give her a .959 fielding percentage.  She helped B-W to a 23-17 record.

As a junior in 2010-2011, Katie played in her second season of softball for B-W starting in all 37 games she appeared in. She recorded a .294 batting average (30-102), with four extra base hits including three doubles and one home run. Katie recorded 10 RBI's and was three-for-five on stolen bases. Katie recorded 68 put outs, 66 assists, and six errors for an outstanding .957 fielding percentage. For her efforts in the OAC tournament, Katie was to the 2011 All-OAC Tournament Team.

As a senior in 2011-12, Katie played her third season of softball at B-W starting all 38 games she played in.  Katie finished the season with a batting average of .226 (24 hits on 106 at-bats), recording 18 singles, five doubles, and two home runs.  Katie scored 12 runs, and drove in 16. In the field, Katie had 71 put outs, 60 assists, and four errors resulting in a .970 fielding percentage.
