MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team finished second in the Allegheny (Pa.) Classic, hosted by Allegheny College at the Robertson Athletic Complex in Meadville, Pa.
BW finished second of seven teams with 79 points. Host Allegheny won the team title with 19 points. Grove City College took third behind Baldwin Wallace with 85 points.
Leading the way for the Yellow Jackets was freshmen Carter Almady (Brunswick) as he placed 14th in the 6436 meters at 22:38.8. Sophomore Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Nick Dascani (Toledo / Springfield) finished right behind Almady in 15th place in 22:56.3.
Freshman Alex Yarian (East Canton) ran a 23:22.7 to finish in 21st place. Right behind Yarian was freshmen Jackson Tucker (Akron / Lake Center Christian School) finishing with a time of 23:37.2 in 25th place. Rounding out the top five was freshmen Robert Bolen (Mansfield / Ontario) with a time of 23:45.1in 27thplace.
BW will have a week to recharge before competing in the 47th Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University at Murray H. Goodman Campus in Bethlehem, Pa. on Friday, Oct. 1st.
