Men's Cross Country Finished Seventh in the OAC Championship

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team competed in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Wilmington College.

In an eight-kilometer event that was composed entirely of OAC schools, BW managed to place seventh out of 10 teams, scoring 245 points. John Carroll University took home the OAC team title with 25 points.

The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore Nick Dascani (Toledo/Springfield) as he crossed the finish line in 68th place in a time of 27:55.0.  Freshmen Joe Kelly (Lakewood) finished in 80th place in a time of 28:18.4. Freshman Alex Yarian (East Canton) finishing right behind in 81th place in a time of 28:18.9. Freshman Connor Foody (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) as he was in 84th place in a time of 28:24.7. Closing out the team scoring was freshmen Carter Almady (Brunswick) as he crossed the finish line in 134th place in a time of 28:11.0.  

The Yellow Jackets will return to the racecourse on Saturday, November 13 when they travel to Shelbyville, Indiana to compete in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships, hosted by Franklin College.
