Brennan Garners All-Ohio Honor to Lead Men's Cross Country

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC runner Brian Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) garnered All-Ohio honors as he led led the Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team to a 13th place finish at the All-Ohio Division III Championships hosted by Cedarville University on the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.

The Yellow Jackets finished 13th of 19 teams with 350 points. The top 35 runners in the race earn All-Ohio honors.

Brennan, who earned his first All-Ohio honors, finished in 17th place finish with a time of 26:00.28.

In addition, senior two-time All-Ohio runner Greg Blevins (Mentor), who was running in his first race of the season, placed 66th in a time of 27:33.15.  Sophomore Brady Jeffers (South Amherst/Firelands) finished in 85th place in a time of 28:08.13.  Freshmen Creighton Jensen (Sheffield Lake/Brookside) was 89th in career-best 8K time of 28:11.40.   Freshman Phil Spronz (Strongsville) placed 93rd in a time of 28:16.65

BW is back in action on Saturday, October 17 when it travels to nearby Oberlin to compete in the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College at 11 a.m.

The 2015 Ohio Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships hosted by BW will be contested on Saturday, October 31 at Wallace Lake in the Mill Stream Run Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks at 11 a.m.
