BALDWIN WALLACE INFORMATION:

SPORTS PLAYED AT B-W (YEARS AND LETTERS WON):  As a sophomore in 2011-12, Ryan competed in his second season of swimming and earned his second varsity letter.

ACADEMIC HONORS AT BW:  Ryan is a Dean's List student. As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Ryan was named a B-W Jacket Scholar.

GENERAL SWIMMING AND DIVING INFORMATION: Ryan is off to a solid swimming career thus far. Ryan's personal bests throughout his first two seasons are: a time of 24.19 in the 50-meter freestyle, 53.61 in the 100-meter freestyle, a 1:55.40 in the 200-meter freestyle, a 5:01.68 in the 500-meter freestyle, a 10:51.53 in the 1000-meter freestyle (Team Best in 2010-11), a 18:23.20 in the 1650-meter freestyle, 27.03 in the 50-meter backstroke, 56.86 in the 100-meter backstroke, and a time of 1:59.83 in the 200-meter backstroke.

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Ryan participated in his first season of swimming and earned his first varsity letter.  Ryan had team-bests in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:51.53) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:20.60).  He also earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors in the 200 backstroke.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Ryan competed in his second season of swimming.  He had team and career bests in the 50 backstroke (27.03), the 100 backstroke (56.86), and the 200 backstroke (1:59.83).  Ryan had personal bests in the 50 free (24.19), the 100 free (53.61), the 200 free (1:55.40), and the 500 free (5:24.26). His career and team bests in the 50, 100, and 200 backstroke were all accomplished at the 2012 OAC Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PLAYED (YEARS & LETTERS EARNED): Ryan competed in swimming for four years and earned four varsity letters. He also competed and lettered four years in water polo and ran track for three years and lettered three times.

HIGH SCHOOL HONORS, (ALL-CONFERENCE, DISTRICT, ETC):  Ryan received the Michael P. Cochran Outstanding Male Swimmer Award, was a Swimming Scholar Athlete and was honored with the GBC All-Academic Award, All League Honors, All-District Honors, and All-Ohio Honors. He was a member of four straight GBC Championship teams, the 2009 Division II District Championship team and a State Qualifier in 2009 and 2010. Ryan's career best times are 23.30 in the 50-Free, 51.23 in the 100-free, 1:53.45 in the 200 free, a 4:57.77 in the 500 free, a 10:36.58 in the 1000 free along with a 57.64 in the 100 back, 2:06.51 in the 200 back, a 1:00.96 in the 100 fly and a 2:08.58 in the 200 individual medley. Ryan received the Lucile McComb Memorial Scholarship and the Hi-Y Service Scholarship. He graduated with a National Honors Society Honor's Diploma.
