Men’s Golfers Finish Fourth at Pat "Poppa" Flowers Fall Invitational

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished fourth at the  Pat "Poppa" Flowers Fall Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at the Shaker Heights Country Club.  It was the fourth of six fall tournaments for the Yellow Jackets.

The Yellow Jackets finished fourth of five total teams (eight overall) and fired a round of 313. Otterbein was the team champion with 296 strokes. In addition, BW's "B" team shot 333 and placed eighth.

The BW "A" team was led by junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Scott Schroeder (Aurora) with a 74, junior Weston Lucas (Columbia Station/Christian Community School) had a 78, freshman Drew Savage (Canal Fulton/Canton Central Catholic) had 80, junior All-OAC player Matt Kershner (Independence) had 81 and freshman Logan Dwelle (Sandusky/Perkins) had 82.

The "B" team was led by freshman Jason Garnett (North Royalton) with 78, freshman Jack Kyle (Bay Village/ Bay) had 82, freshman Hunter Miller (Frankfort/ Adena) had 83, freshman Brad Blaine (Brooklyn) had 83 and freshman Adam Morris (Grafton/ Midview) had 95.

BW is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, September 26-27 when the Yellow Jackets travel to Alliance to play in the Purple Raider Fall Invitational Tournament, hosted by the University of Mount Union, at the Tannenhauf Golf Course.

BW ends its fall season on October 3-4 when the Jackets travel to Harrod, Ohio to play at the 2015 OAC Fall Invitational Tournament, hosted by Ohio Northern University at the Colonial Hills Golf Club.
