Matt Brown enters his second year as the assistant head coach and offensive line coach at Baldwin Wallace University in 2024.

Brown returns to his alma mater after serving the past seven seasons as the offensive coordinator at Hanover (Ind.) College, including the past season as the wide receivers and tight ends coach.  He served as the offensive line coach for six seasons and was a recruiting coordinator, director of football operations and video coordinator. He helped guide the Panthers to three Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) championships and mentored 40 All-HCAC offensive players, including the 2019 HCAC Offensive Player of the Year. 

Prior to Hanover, Brown was an offensive line coach, recruiting coordinator, director of football operations and director of intramurals at Franklin (Ind.) College for three years. During his time at Franklin, he helped guide the Grizzlies to the HCAC Championship each season and mentored 13 All-HCAC offensive selections.

Before Franklin, Brown was a tight ends coach, assistant special teams coordinator and assistant recruiting coordinator for one season at Ohio Wesleyan University.  He helped lead the Battling Bishops to a share of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship in 2012 and coached an All-North Region third-team tight end.

Brown earned a Bachelor of Arts in integrated social studies and history from BW.  He was a member of the football team for four seasons, including earning a varsity letter and serving as a student-assistant coach.
