BW ATHLETIC INFORMATION: Kim Gallavan competed in her third season of track and field at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. The two-time NCAA Division III All-American earned her third varsity letter.

ATHLETICS HONORS:  As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Kim earned NCAA Division III All-American honors indoors with a sixth place finish in the weight throw at the 2014 Div. III Indoor Championship Meet. She also earned All-OAC honors indoors in the weight throw (second) and shot put (third). She earned All-OAC honors outdoors in the shot put (first), discus (first) and hammer (second). She was named as the 2014 OAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Thrower of the Year.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Kim was named as the 2014 OAC Women's Indoor Track Field Athlete of the Year. She earned All-OAC honors indoors in the shot put (first) and weight throw (first). At the 2015 NCAA Div. III National Indoor Meet, she placed ninth in the weight throw and 12th in the shot put. At the 2015  Div. III National Outdoor Meet, Kim earned All-American honors with a third place finish in the discus. She also competed in the shot put but did not place. KIm also earned All-OAC honors in the discus (first), shot put (second) and hammer (third) and All-Ohio honors in the discus (first) and hammer (second).

OAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARDS:  Kim has earned OAC Women's Field event Athlete of the Week honors five times during her career (twice indoors and three times outdoors).  As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Kim was named as the OAC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Feb. 3, 2014 for her efforts at the Findlay Elite Throwers Meet. She earned OAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on March 24, 2014 for her performance at the UNC-Charlotte 49er Meet. She earned OAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on April 7, 2014 for her efforts at the Ohio Wesleyan Marv Frye Meet.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Kim earned OAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors on February 23, 2015 for her efforts at the Cleveland College Championship Meet. She earned OAC Outdoor Field Event Athlete of the Week honors on March 23, 2015.

SCHOOL AND OAC RECORDS:  As a junior in 2014-2015, Kim set a school and OAC indoor record in the weight throw with a throw of 58'1". She also set a Harrison Dillard Track indoor record of 45'3" in the shot put.

INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD INFORMATION:   As a freshman in 2012-2013, Kim competed in her first season of indoor trackd. She had a season-bests of 40'7" in shot put and 45'3.5" in the weight throw.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Kim competed in her second season of indoor track. She earned NCAA Division III All-American honors indoors with a sixth place finish in the weight throw. She also earned All-OAC honors indoors in the weight throw (second) and shot put (third). Kim was named as the OAC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Feb. 3, 2014. She had a career-best and school-record throw of 56'10" in the weight throw and a career-best of 43'3" in the shot put.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Kim competed in her third season of indoor track. She earned OAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors on February 23, 2015 for her efforts at the Cleveland College Championship Meet on Feb. 21 when she won the weight throw and shot put. She set a Harrison Dillard Track record with a toss of 45'3". At the 2015 OAC Indoor Championship Meet, Kim was named as the meet's Most Outstanding Field Athlete as she won the weight throw with a BW and OAC-record throw of 58'1" and won the shot put with a career-best throw of 45'7", and earned All-OAC honors in each event. She set a career-best in the shot put of 46'4" at the Ohio Northern University "Last Chance" Meet. At the 2015 NCAA Division III National Championship Meet, she placed ninth in the weight throw and 12th in the shot put.

As a senior in 2015-2016, Kim is competing in her fourth season of indoor track.

OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD INFORMATION:   As a freshman in 2012-2013, Kim competed in her first season of outdoor track and earned her first letter. She had a team-best throws in the shot put (40'4") and discus (137'8") and a season-best in the hammer (120'0").

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Kim competed in her second season of outdoor track and earned her second letter. She was the OAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on March 24, 2014. She was the OAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on April 7, 2014. At the All-Ohio Championship Meet, Kim earned All-Ohio honors in the shot put (first) and discus (second). At the OAC Championship Meet, she was the champion in the shot put and discus and placed second in the hammer. For her efforts, she was named as the 2014 OAC Outdoor Track & Field Thrower of the Year. At the 2014 NCAA Division III National Championship Meet, Kim placed ninth in the discus and 21st in the shot put. She had career-bests in the shot put (45'7"), discus (148'3"), hammer (162'6") and javelin (66'6").

As a junior in 2014-2015, Kim competed in her third season of outdoor track and earned her third letter. She earned OAC Outdoor Field Event Athlete of the Week on March 23, 2015 for her efforts at the UNC-Charlotte 49er Invitational. She earned Division III All-American honors for the second time with a third place finish in the discus with a career-best throw of 160'4". She also competed in the shot put but did not place. Kim also earned All-OAC honors in the discus (first), shot put (second) and hammer (third) and All-Ohio honors in the discus (first) and hammer (second). 

As a senior in 2015-2016, Kim is competing in her fourth season of track and hopes to earn her fourth letter.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Kim Gallavan grew up in Auburn Township, Ohio and graduated from Kenton High School in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

Kim competed in soccer and track for four years and earned four varsity letters in each sport.

In track, Kim was a four-time first-team All-Chagrin Valley Conference performer in the shot put. In the discus, she earned first-team All-CVC honors once and second-team accolades once.
