ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Exercise Science

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Courtney Severns is competing in her second season of swimming and diving at Baldwin Wallace University in 2015-2016 and earned her second varsity letter.

ATHLETICS HONORS:  As a freshman in 2014-2015, Courtney received the Most Improved Swimmer Award.

SCHOOL RECORD:  As a sophomore, Courtney swam on the school-record 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:40.76).

GENERAL SWIMMING INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2014-2015, Courtney competed her first season of swimming and diving and she earned her first varsity letter. Courtney recorded personal best times at the OAC Championships in the 50-yard freestyle (26.82), 100-yard freestyle (57.71), and the 100-yard breastroke (1:15.09).

As a sophomore in 2015-2016, Courtney earned her second varsity letter. At the 2016 OAC Championships she was a swimmer in the 200-yard free relay team that set a school-record with a time of 1:40.76 and placed seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke with a career-best time of 1:12.50. At the OAC Champiosnhips she also recorded career-best times in the 50-yard freestyle (26.04) and 100-yard freestyle (57.62).

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Courtney Severns grew up in Bucyrus, Ohio and graduated from Bucyrus High School.

Courtney swam for four years and earned four varsity letters. She ran track for for fours and earned four letters. She also was a cheerleader for three years and earned three letters.
