BEREA, Ohio—The Baldwin Wallace University  women's swimming and diving teams look to continue its building process in 2015-16.

Head Coach Laura Wolff-Demaline, who begins her fifth season, returns seven letterwinners and two OAC performers on a women's team that went 7-7 overall and 2-3 in the OAC last season.

The women will be led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference swimmer Chandler Ashbaugh (Napoleon) and diver Maddie Fortune (Akron/Firestone). Ashbaugh earned two All-OAC honors, set three individual records, and set one school record at the OAC Championships last season.  Fortune was awarded the OAC Diver of the Year honor after her first place finish in the 3-Meter Championship.

The women also return senior Contessa Elliott (Ypsilanti, Mich.), sophomore Jordyn Miller (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer), sophomore Courtney Severns (Bucyrus), and senior Nicole Gladish (Fairview Park / Fairview). Elliott set personal records at the OAC Championships in the 50-meter freestyle (28.31), 100-meter backstroke (1:08.64), and the 200-meter backstroke (2:28.93). Miller (Ann Arbor, Mich. / Pioneer) will look to build on her strong freshman season at the OAC-Championships last season she set a personal record in the 200-yard freestyle with her time of 1:58.75. Severns was a part of two relay teams that set school records last season.

Mackenzie Biastre (Eden, N.Y.), Rebecca Johnson (Indianapolis, Ind. / Lawrence Central), Sarah Krupp (Williamsville, N.Y. / South),  Claire Onchuck (Darien, Ill. / Hinsdale South), and Elizabeth Sant (Mount Vernon) join the team this season and look to have strong first season as Yellow Jackets.

BW begins their 2015-16 campaign on Saturday, October 24 when they host OAC dual meet against Wilmington College in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center at 1 p.m.   The very next day the Yellow Jackets will host a non-conference dual meet against Ohio Wesleyan University at 12 p.m.
