Three Softball Players Earn Academic All-OAC Honors

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio --
 Three Baldwin Wallace University softball student-athletes have been named to the 2017 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. 

In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and maintain varsity status.

Senior left fielder Mackenzie Nelsen (Powell/Dublin Scioto), senior pitcher Erica Morgan (Brook Park/Midpark) and sophomore All-OAC right fielder Alexis Boledovic (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) each earned Academic All-OAC honors. 

Nelsen, who garners her third Academic All-OAC accolade, is a business administration and sport management double major that carries a 3.72 grade point average (GPA). She also is a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and member of the Alpha Lambda and Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies. Nelsen appeared in all 36 games, batted .225 and tallied two doubles, one homerun and a career-high eight runs batted in (RBI). 

Morgan, who earns her third Academic All-OAC honor, is a biology major that carries a 3.88 GPA. She also is a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda, Dayton C. Miller and Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies. Morgan played in 16 games including 10 starts with 28 strikeouts and an earned runs average (ERA) of 3.80. 

Boledovic, who garners her first Academic All-OAC accolade, is an exercise science & pre-physical therapy double major that carries a 3.87 GPA. She is also a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda honor society. This season, Boledovic was an All-OAC first-team selection, started in all 37 games, batted .373 with a team-high eight doubles, 10 RBIs and seven stolen bases.
